Help Officers Fight Childhood Cancer!

Donate to the BPD team "Boise's Finest". Your donation will help officers fund cancer research and help survivors live long, healthy lives.

Boise, March 5, 2012 - Members of the Boise Police Department are going to give it up... their hair that is! A group of 14 officers will have their heads shaved this Saturday to help raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.

St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.

This is the fifth year Boise Police have teamed together for the head shaving fund raiser. Officer Jim Adams has coordinated the event each year.

"Cancer touches all our lives, and the ones that need the most reassurance are the kids," said Officer Adams. "We want to let kids battling cancer and those surviving cancer know that we care, and we're here to support them when they need it most."

TO DONATE: Boise PD's team is called "Boise's Finest". will take you directly to the team page to make a donation.

Boise's Finest hope to match the amount collected in 2011 with another $9,000 in donations again his year. Thanks in advance for any help.

The St. Baldrick's fund raiser is this Saturday afternoon, March 10th at the Knitting Factory 416 S. 9th Street, downtown Boise.

    Thanks again for your support.
