Boise Police responded to a burglary alarm at a retail store on the 1300 block of North Orchard Street Sunday evening, February 5th, at approximately 8:50 p.m. Officers determined the suspects had broken a window at the business and entered the building to steal five telescopes from the store. The telescopes have a value of more than $1,000.00. Officers began a detailed investigation into the burglary.

At approximately 10:00 p.m. the same evening, Boise Police received a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store on the 3100 block of West State. A store employee tells police the suspect, later identified as Alik Takhsilov, entered the store and produced a knife. The victim tells police the suspect threatening him while holding the knife near his throat and demanded money. The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was able to provide officers with a good description of the vehicle and a license plate number.

Seconds after the call was received a Boise Police officer spotted the vehicle and requested backup officers. Boise Police conducted a felony traffic stop on the suspect vehicle at 28th and Madison. The two suspects, who were both in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop, were taken into custody without further incident. The knife was recovered from the vehicle. As officers conducted a detailed investigation of the robbery, they obtained evidence that indicated the suspects had also been involved in the burglary earlier that evening. Officers later recovered the stolen telescopes from the suspects residence on the 400 block of North 28th Street. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
