Officers want your help finding a vandalism suspect or suspects

12-29-11 Officers want your help finding a vandalism suspect or suspects

Boise December 29th, 2011. Starting this morning, Boise Police began receiving reports of vehicle vandalisms that victims tell police happened overnight. At this point approximately 30 reports have been received and officers expect that number may go higher. Ada County dispatch started receiving the reports at approximately 5:00 a.m. this morning. Victims are reporting the vandalisms in a large area, from North and South at McMillan and Fairview to East and West between Five Mile and Cole in various residential neighborhoods. At this point the suspect, or suspects, appear to have used a BB gun or similar tool to shoot and break multiple vehicle windows. Considering the size of the effected neighborhoods officers suspect the person or persons may have had a mode of transportation. No further information is available at this time.

Officers are still taking reports and the investigation into who may have perpetrated this serious crime is underway.

Crime Stoppers:Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, or log onto, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. A citizen can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.
