   Arrested: John M. Torstenbo, 51, Boise

   Charges:9 counts of Possession of Sexually Exploitative Material (F)

    Boise Police detectives, in conjunction with the ICAC task force and the Ada County Sheriffs Department, served a search warrant at the suspect's home yesterday, October 20th, at approximately 7:00 a.m. The warrant comes as the result of an investigation that stems from an ongoing ICAC investigation into sexually exploitive materials, traced back to the residence located on the 13300 block of Nth 7th Avenue in Ada County. Officers located multiple illegal images downloaded onto a computer at the home. At this time investigators have no evidence that the victims depicted in the materials are local. The investigation into this case continues. Further inquires into this case should be directed to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office.


The Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is a statewide coalition of local, state and federal law enforcement and prosecution agencies, focused on apprehending and prosecuting individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children. Internet crimes against children are, primarily, crimes of sexual exploitation of children. These crimes include distribution of child pornography and using the Internet to target children for sexual abuse.The Idaho ICAC Task Force is committed to protecting Idaho's children through community education and by identifying, arresting and prosecuting those who commit Internet crimes against children.

   Arrested: Justin L. Janzen, 26, Boise

   Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F)

    Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at the intersection of Grandee and Swift early this morning, October 21st, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers determined that a dispute over cab fare had taken place between the driver and the passenger. At one point, evidence indicates the suspect, who had gotten out of the cab, used a rock to strike the vehicle several times causing damage estimated to exceed $1,000.00. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
