08-17-11 Officers on traffic stop recover just under half a pound of marijuana; Daily incident report

  Arrested: Jakeb C. Eisenberg, 23, Eagle

   Charges:Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Marijuana)(F), Parole Violation charges

   Boise Police on patrol observed a vehicle serving in and out of its lane Northbound on 15th near River street yesterday, August 16th, at approximately 3:30 p.m. As officers contacted the driver, officers received a request from Idaho Probation and Parole officers to conduct a search of the vehicle. A Boise Police K-9 named "KC" alerted on a backpack in the back seat of the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the pack revealed just under a half pound of marijuana, 230 grams total package weight, with a street value of approximately $1,600.00. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.


   Warrant Arrested: Jeremy J. Roberts, 20, Boise

   Warrant Charges: Injury to a Child (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Injury to a Child yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into an incident that reportedly took place in May of this year. The incident was reported to Boise Police on May 25th. During the course of the investigation officers obtained evidence that indicates a child, who had been left in the care of the suspect, sustained injuries to its head and bruising on the child's body. The child was turned over to the custody of the Idaho State Department of Health and Welfare. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.


   Arrested: William R. Baeli, 48, Boise

   Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Boise Police on patrol received a report of an assault with a firearm that had just occurred on I-84 near Cole Road yesterday, August 16th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. The victim, who called police to report the incident after the suspect left the scene, tells police he was driving in the area of Gowen Road and I-84 when he became involved in a dispute with another driver. According to the victim, both drivers pulled over on the side of the interstate and exited their vehicles. The victim tells police the suspect displayed a handgun and then pointed it directly at him. The time the victim feared for his life. Officers identified the suspect and located him at a residence near Maple Grove and Franklin. After a detailed investigation the suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


   Arrested: Justin C. Porter, 22, Boise

   Charges: Burglary (F), Resisting and Obstructing (m), 2 Failure to Appear Warrants

    Boise Police on patrol responded to a report of a Burglary that had just taken place at a retail store on the 2400 block of South vista early this morning, August 17th, at approximately 4:00 a.m. Witnesses tell police the suspect, later identified as Justin Porter had grabbed a case of beer and left without paying for the merchandise. Officers located the suspect at Targee and Columbus with the beer. During the course of the investigation the suspect became argumentive and refused to obey officers commands. At one point the suspect forced officers to use pepper spray to physically take him into custody. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had two outstanding warrants for his arrest for Failure to Appear. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
