UPDATE: 10:17 p.m. 

      Boise Police have determined the man found deceased on the Greenbelt is a local transient with a history of medical issues. Detectives are still working with the coroner's office to determine the cause of death.

Death Investigation
   Boise, Aug. 10, 2011 - Boise Police are working with the Ada County Coroner to determine the cause of death of an adult male found lying beneath a picnic table along the Greenbelt.
   Boise Police were called by citizens walking along the Greenbelt about 8:30 p.m. this evening who discovered the man's body. The body was found on the north side of the river across from the Ann Morrison bridge.
   At this time, Boise Police detectives say there appears to be no immediate threat to the public related to the incident. Detectives, officers, crime scene investigators and representatives from the Coroner's office are on scene working to determine the man's cause of death.
   The man's identity will be released from the Ada County Coroner upon positive ID and notification of family. Further information will be release by the BPD as it's available.
