   Boise Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a series of retail stores on the 300 block of North Milwaukee yesterday, July 7th, at approximately 3:00 p.m. Officers observed the three suspects enter several stores and selected merchandise without paying for it. As the suspects entered a vehicle in the parking lot officers confronted them. The merchandise, taken from approximately eight different stores, with a value estimated to be more than $1,000.00, was recovered from the vehicle. The suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

   The Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.

   Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Heroin)(F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

    Boise Police responded to a report of possible drug activity at a restaurant on the 1300 block of Broadway yesterday, July 7th, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Officers located the suspect inside a restroom and recovered approximately .4 oz total package weight of heroin along with syringes and other paraphernalia. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


 Warrant Arrested: Connor J. Buerstetta, 18, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Manufacture of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Manufacture of a Controlled Substance yesterday.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the growing of several marijuana plants outside the suspects residence on July 6th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect was involved in the growing of the illegal drug. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.


    Arrested: Nicole M. Gardiner, 27, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a two vehicle collision at Maple Grove and Mediterranean last night, July 7th, at approximately 11:30 p.m. The suspect, the driver of one of the vehicles involved, had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on and about her person. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.
