Arrested: Brittney D. Johnson, 25, Pocatello
Charge: Aggravated Battery (F)

Boise Police on patrol near 6th & Main early Saturday morning just before 2:00, were approached by a bouncer at a nearby nightclub. The bouncer told officers two women had been arguing when one woman in the club hit the other in the face with a glass. As officers approached the front of the club, the suspect, Johnson, was being escorted outside by other club employees. Officers found the victim with what appeared to be a severe cut to her face. The victim was taken by Ada County Paramedics to a nearby hospital for treatment. The suspect, Johnson, was booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.


Arrested: James D. King, 48, transient
Charged: Aggravated Battery (F) - warrant

Boise Police arrested the suspect James David King Friday evening, July 15th on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Battery.
On April 16, 2011, Boise Police were called by the victim and witness who told officers the suspect, King had beaten the victim with a rock and kicked the victim during a fight a few days earlier during a gathering at Veteran's Memorial Park. The suspect and victim are acquainted and reportedly had been at the gathering together prior to the fight. The victim did seek medical treatment for his injuries. Officers sent their report, which included an interview with the suspect, to Ada County Prosecutors who issued a warrant for King's arrest on the above charge.


Arrested: Madalyn I. Romero, 32, Boise
Charge: Burglary (F)

Boise Police were called Friday evening, July 15th by employees of a retail store on the   3500 block of S. Federal Way. Store employees told officers they had witnessed the suspect, Romero entered the store, place numerous food and household items in a cart, then leave the store without paying. Upon investigation, officers found evidence the suspect had left the store without paying intentionally. She was arrested on the above charged.


Note: re: The kidnapping charge against Taylor R. Brian from Saturday, July 16 is domestic violence related. Remember, kidnapping is holding someone against their will (not holding them for ransom as indicated on the ACSO website).


Arrested: Aaron J. Haase, 28, Boise
Charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver - Marijuana (F)

A Boise Police patrol officer pulling out of a gas station at Myrtle and Capital eaqrly Sunday morning, July 17th at approximately 4:30 a.m. saw a man who appeared to be sleeping on a nearby bus bench. The officer walked up to the man to make sure he was okay and saw in an unzipped backpack in plain view an item the officer recognized as used to grind marijuana so it can be smoked. The officer also saw in plain view a clear plastic container that contained a green leafy substance consistent with marijuana. Further investigation found the suspect in possession of approx 22 grams of marijuana. Officers also found the suspect had two outstanding arrest warrants. Officers booked the suspect, Haase into the Ada Jail on the warrants and the above drug charge.


Arrested: Andrew J. Lott, 22, Boise
Charges: Trafficking a Controlled Substance - Heroin (F),  Possession of a Controlled Substance - Meth (F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Driving without privileges (m)

A Boise Police officer on patrol saw a vehicle traveling with expired registration. The officer made a traffic stop of the vehicle at the corner of Kootenai and Johnson Streets. Officers found the driver and only occupant, Lott, operating the car with a license that had been suspended last month. Officers also saw inside the car in plain view what appeared to be drugs and/or drug paraphernalia wrapped in plastic. A Meridian Police K9 alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of illegal drugs. Officers, including an officer who knew Lott after arresting him last week (7-12) for possession of methamphetamine, searched the car and found the suspect to be in possession of more than 4 grams of heroin (making it a trafficking charge),  a small amount of methamphetamine and several used and unused syringes. The suspect was arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Arrested: Brandon A. Thomas, 23, Oakland Park, FL
Charged: Burglary (F)

Boise Police were called Sunday afternoon, July 17th, by employees of a retail store in the area of Franklin Rd and N. Milwaukee St. When officers arrived, witnesses said a woman had tried to purchase items using a store credit card. When the store employee asked for a driver's license, the employee saw the photo was not the woman possession the ID, later identified as Bury.  Officers found the store care and license had been stolen from a Boise woman who left her purse in a parked car in a lot near downtown a short time earlier. With help from store management and surveillance videos, officers were able to see the woman had left the store with two males, later identified as Horne and Thomas. Officers were also able to identify the suspects vehicle and soon found the car, a rental, parked at a motel near the Boise Airport. All three suspect were located at the motel, two of the suspects, Horne and Thomas were walking out of the motel pulling suitcases. Officers found additional evidence in the suspect's motel room indicating the suspect's had already used the stolen credit card to purchase items prior to being noticed by the alert store employee. All three were arrested on the above charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.


Arrested: Mustafa Raufl, 28, Boise
Charged: Battery with Intent to Commit a Serious Felony (F), Burglary (F)

Boise Police were called by a woman early Sunday morning from her home off S. Capitol Blvd. The woman told officer a man she was acquainted with had come into her home while she was sleeping on her couch, and she awoke to find him fondling her.  The suspect was soon located at his home and arrested on the above charges.
