June 23, 2011 - Boise Police arrested a man today after a teen reported he'd passed her a note at a local shopping mall soliciting sex.

    Arrested: Torrey Jones, 41, Boise

Charge: Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 16 (F)

Boise Police investigators have no evidence of any additional victims, however because of the nature of the crime, officers are concerned there may be more victims who have not yet reported the incident.

What Happened:Boise Police were called Saturday, June 13th by witnesses reporting a man had passed a note to a young teenage girl soliciting sex with the girl. The incident occurred while the girl was shopping that day at a mall in the area of Franklin Rd. and N. Milwaukee Street. The girl immediately reported the incident to mall security, who called police.

The investigation included interviews with witnesses and assistance from mall security workers. The investigation was forwarded to Ada County Prosecutors. A judge issued a warrant for Jones arrest on the above charge earlier today.

Other Victims?: At this time, officers do not have evidence of additional victims. But because of the circumstances, and other information uncovered during the investigation, officers are urging anyone who has been involved in a similar incident recently to contact Boise Police through non-emergency dispatch - 377-6790.
