BPA to stock McDevitt Pond for free fishing day!

Tuesday the Boise Police Association will be Stocking large fish for the upcoming Free Fishing Day Event on Saturday!

    Boise, June 7, 2011 - This afternoon, the Boise Police Association is stocking hundreds of fish into McDevitt Pond in preparation for Saturday's Free Fishing day! This is a fun visual opportunity to see the ponds stocked with very large Golden Trout!

    About 550 fish will be dumped into the pond to increase the odds for Saturday's anglers. These fish are much larger than fish normally planted in the pond. The fish are purchased by the Boise Police Association with money raised at the BPA annual fishing tournament.

    Boise Police volunteers will be working in conjunction with Idaho Fish & Game Officers helping kids and families find the joy of fishing at McDevitt Pond on Saturday, June 11th from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
