Plan to attend Saturdays bike rodeo!

05-13-11 Plan to attend Saturdays bike rodeo!

With spring in the air Boise area bicyclists are invited to attend a fun and educational bike rodeo taking place tomorrow, May 14th near Cole and Overland. Activities will include bike safety checks, helmet fitting and more. Boise Bike Officers, Firefighters, Police Crime prevention and local merchants are working together to make this a fun activity for young and old. Boise area merchants have provided a new bike that will be given as a prize to one lucky cyclist at the event!

"With the warm weather we are sure to see more bikes and that means we should prepare our equipment for the riding season." says Sgt. Clair Walker of the Boise Police bike patrol unit. "We all need to be more aware and share the road, knowing the rules helps us all stay safe."

What:Bike rodeo, bicycle safety checks, helmet fitting, bike riding safety course, bike raffle and more

When:Saturday May 14th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
