Suspect arrested on warrant for Harboring a Fugitive; Overnight incident report

04-08-11 Suspect arrested on warrant for Harboring a Fugitive; Overnight incident report

Warrant Arrested: Floyd L. Engelhardt, 26, Boise

  Warrant Charges:Harboring a Fugitive (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Harboring a Fugitive yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into the suspect's attempt to hide a wanted fugitive at a residence on the 200 block of east 37th on January 29th of this year. Evidence indicates the suspect knowingly lied to officers in an attempt to hide a wanted suspect, who was later located inside the residence and taken into custody. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.

Arrested: Larry F. Spargo, 37, Emmett

  Charges:Burglary (F)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 8200 block of West Fairview yesterday, April 7th, at approximately 11:00 a.m. Store employees tell police that they witnessed the suspect conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. Officers located the suspect a short time later and recovered the items. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
