Homicide Charges filed in Suspicious Death

    Boise, April 27, 2011 - Boise Police and Ada County Prosecutors today filed murder charges against a man already in jail in connection with the death of a woman found last month in a college area home.

    Charged: Lloyd Hardin McNeil, 31

    Charges: Murder 2nd degree, Arson 1st degree, Grand Theft

    McNeil has been in the Ada County Jail on $1 million bond since March 25th following his arrest in Seattle on a related Ada County warrant for grand theft.

    The murder and arson charges are in connection with the death of Natalie C. Davis, 30 of Boise. The grand theft charges are in connection with the theft of Davis's car and numerous personal items including a ring. Davis was found dead in her home on the 1200 blk of Lincoln Street March 5th. 

    Further information on this case will be released through court proceedings. Please check with Ada County Courts for McNeil's next appearance.

   UPDATE: Boise, March 7, 2011 - Boise Police continue to investigate a death of a woman found over the weekend. Officers say the death is suspicious, although police investigators and the Ada County Coroner are still working to determine a cause of death.

    The body of the woman, identified as Natalie Claire Davis, 30 of Boise, was found early Saturday afternoon, March 5th by firefighters responding to a neighbors call of smoke showing from the woman's residence on the 1200 blk of Lincoln Ave. Firefighters found the woman lying in bed. The mattress had partially burned and was still smoldering when found by firefighters. The woman's body was also partially burned. 

    Officers believe Davis is not originally from Boise and had been living in the city less than a year. 

    Officers continue to search for a person of interest who may have more information helpful to the investigation. At this time, that person's name is not available for release.

    Anyone with information that has information not already provided to police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, or log onto, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. A citizen can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of criminal suspects.


   Boise, March 6, 2011 - Boise Police investigators are calling a woman's death in a home on Lincoln Ave near Beacon yesterday suspicious. Officers are searching for a person of interest who may have more information helpful to the investigation. Boise Police are sharing the person of interest's name with other law enforcement, but the name is not being made public at this time.

   Boise Police expect to get more information from the Ada County Coroner regarding the woman's death tomorrow.  At that time, officers expect more information on this case to be released to the public.
   What Happened: Boise firefighters were called to a neighbors report of smoke coming from the home on Lincoln Ave. shortly after noon yesterday. Firefighters arrived and entered the residence, finding the deceased person.  
   Again, more information is expected on this case tomorrow, Monday. An update will be issued as soon as additional information is made available.
