  Arrested: Collin J. Pfeifer, 24, Boise

  Charges:Injury to a Child (m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Frequenting a Place where Drugs are Used or Sold (m)

  Crime Stoppers received a citizens tip recently about possible drug activity occurring at a home on the 1300 blk of North 12th Street. Boise Police patrol officers followed up and soon involved the Neighborhood Contact Officer in the investigation. Officers gathered enough evidence for a search warrant which was serviced at the home Tuesday, February 8th at  approximately 4:00 p.m. During the search, officers recovered approximately 7.7 ounces of marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the home. Officers also found a bong on a bedroom night stand within reach of a toddler living in the home, resulting in the Injury to a Child charge. The suspect was arrested on the above charges. The child was not at the home at the time of the search, however, officers placed the child into safe custody as the investigation continues.  

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 15 CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS18-1501.Injury to children.(2) Any person who, under circumstances or conditions other than those likely to produce great bodily harm or death, willfully causes or permits any child to suffer, or inflicts thereon unjustifiable physical pain or mental suffering, or having the care or custody of any child, willfully causes or permits the person or health of such child to be injured, or willfully causes or permits such child to be placed in such situation that its person or health may be endangered, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

    Boise Police arrested two men following a report of a robbery at a west Boise home last night. Detectives have reason to believe the exchange of illegal substances may have been a factor in this case. Boise POlice were called to a report of a robbery that occurred in a detached garage of a home in West Boise last night, February 8th, at approximately 7:00 p.m. The victim tells police that the suspects, who are known to him, were in the garage with him, when the suspects began to choke the victim and took his wallet that contained cash. The two suspects then left the home and the victim called police. Officers soon located the two suspects walking a short distance away. After further investigation, the suspects were transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


 Arrested: Katrice S. Lautenschlager, 20, Boise

  Charges:Burglary (F)

  Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 300 block of North Milwaukee yesterday, February 8th, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Store employees tell police the suspect concealed merchandise and then left the store without paying for it. Officers believe the suspect entered the store with the intent to commit the theft resulting in the burglary charge. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

  The Boise Police Department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
