01-21-11 Grand Theft suspect arrested; Daily incident report

  Arrested: David J. Turner, 36, Boise

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police received a theft report from a victim at a North end home on January 3rd of this year. On that date, the victim tells police that David Turner, who is well known to the victim, had taken a flat screen TV, a laptop computer and other items from the home while she was gone. The suspect contacted the victim yesterday by phone and the victim called police. Officers were waiting for the suspect when he arrived at the victim's home in a North end neighborhood at approximately 7:00 p.m. The man fled on foot before officers had the chance to make contact with him. The suspect was located a short distance away and he was taken into custody. Some of the stolen items were recovered at the time of arrest. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.
