   Arrested: Jerod J. Herink, 21, Boise

   Charges:Enticing of a Child over the Internet (F)

   Boise Police arrested the suspect Sunday night, January 23rd, in an alley near Five Mile and Ustick on the above charge. The arrest came after an ongoing investigation by Boise Police into an attempt to entice a 14 year old female online. Detectives exchanged messages with a man later identified as the suspect, Herink. Officers say the suspect was talking to a 14 year old girl before the child's parents notified police and detectives became involved on January 21st. The suspect believed he had arranged to meet the teen for sex.

    You may also report online via the CyberTipline┬« at or 1-800-843-5678.  The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) has a system for identifying online predators and child pornographers and contributing to law-enforcement investigations. Leads forwarded to the site will be acknowledged and shared with the appropriate law-enforcement agency for investigation.


  Arrested: Jennifer J. Langness, 51, Boise

   Charges: Battery on an Officer (F), Disturbing the Peace (m)

    Boise Police responded to a problem subject at a local hotel on the 1100 block of North Curtis Friday evening, January 21st, at approximately 7:30 p.m. Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect had been walking up and down the halls screaming, making threats and statements about having a firearm. When officers made contact with the suspect she began screaming at officers and refused to obey lawful orders. The suspect threw a large book, striking an officer in the leg before lunging at the officer. She was physically taken into custody. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


  Arrested: Anthony Trammel, 25, No Known Address

   Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police arrested the suspect Saturday, January 22nd, after a detailed investigation into the theft of firearms from a residence in North Boise. On that date victims tell police the suspect, who is well known to them, had taken two firearms from the residence. Officers later located the firearms and identified the suspect as the individual who had stolen them. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


    Arrested: Travis J. Wark, 28, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F), Driving Without Privileges (DWP)(m)

  Boise Police responded to a vehicle collision at 27th and Jordan Sunday, January 23rd, at approximately 11:50 a.m. Evidence indicates the suspect had driven off the road and struck a power pole on the West side of the road. The suspect, who appeared to be under the influence at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood sample was taken for later evidentiary testing. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was currently suspended from driving. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.


  Arrested: Johnny D. Manning, 27, Milwaukee OR. 

   Charges: Obtaining a Controlled Substance by Deception (F), Providing False Information (m)

    Boise Police responded to a request for assistance from hospital staff near Curtis and Emerald Sunday, January 23rd, at approximately 1:00 p.m. Multiple witnesses tell police the suspect was behaving strangely, making a scene and demanded pain medications. The suspect provided false information to staff and officers when they arrived on scene. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


 Warrant Arrested: Corissa L. Christensen, 26, Boise

  Warrant Charges: Receiving Stolen Property (F)

    The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Receiving Stolen Property today.

   The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into checks stolen from a mailbox in East Boise in September of last year. Evidence indicates the suspect was in possession of the check before it was used in an attempt to defraud a local business of funds. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
