12-22-10 Car burglars caught in the act; Overnight incident report

  Arrested: Christopher L. Cobo, 18, Boise

   Charges: 3 counts of Burglary (F)

    Boise Police responded to a citizen call of a possible vehicle burglary on the 2600 block of East Red Cedar Lane early this morning, December 22nd, at approximately 3:00 a.m. The calling party told dispatch that he had observed two individuals with flashlights entering vehicles parked in a parking lot. Officers who responded to the call approached the parking lot on foot and witnessed two male suspects, one juvenile and one adult, rummage through a parked vehicle. Officers stopped the suspect's vehicle as they left the parking and recovered several items that had been taken from 4 vehicles, including a GPS and an IPOD. The adult male, Christopher Cobo, was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges. The juvenile male was cited for burglary and released to the custody of an adult guardian. 

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 14 BURGLARY18-1401. Burglary defined. Every person who enters any house, room, apartment, tenement, shop, warehouse, store, mill, barn, stable, outhouse, or other building, tent, vessel, vehicle, trailer, airplane or railroad car, with intent to commit any theft or any felony, is guilty of burglary.
