Boise Police on patrol last night (November 23rd) observed a vehicle towing a trailer with improper lighting at approximately 10:00 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop at Kootenai and Phillipi Streets. A check through Ada County dispatch indicated the suspect had a current warrant for his arrest out of Canyon County. When officers attempted to take the suspect into custody he struggled with officers and refused to obey commands. As officers dealt with the driver, a Boise Police K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the likely presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle revealed 6 baggies containing meth residue, prescription medications that did not belong to the suspect, a glass pipe and other items of paraphernalia in the vehicle. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges. The passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Monique Crownhart was found to have a small amount of marijuana on her person. She was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana.
