10-15-10 UPDATE: Sketch of Sexual Assault Suspect / Personal safety tips

    Boise, Oct. 15, 2010 - Boise Police detectives, working with the victim of a reported sexual assault have developed a sketch of the suspect in Oct. 10th attack. The sexual assault reportedly occurred sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. beneath the Capitol Blvd. bridge. (See news release at dated Oct. 10, 2010)

    Suspect Description:In additional to the previously released description, the victim says the suspect had a "grungy" appearance and appeared as though he could be a transient. The suspect has been described as a light skinned adult male, 40 - 50 years old with short hair and a full beard, a "boney" facial appearance with "sunken" eyes. He was wearing a black winter coat. 

    Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, or log onto, or text CRIMES or 274637, subject: Tip236. A citizen can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered by Crime Stoppers for information leading to the arrest of a criminal suspects

    Personal Safety Reminders: 

  • Crime Prevention experts remind citizens to always be aware of their personal safety. That includes being focused on and aware of your surroundings.
  • Walk in pairs or groups. Don't stray away from the crowd. There's safety in numbers.
  • Stay in well lit areas.
  • Avoid areas where thick brush provides hiding places.
  • Report any suspicious activity to police right away.
