10-11-10 3 Vehicle collision blocks Fairview Ave.

Boise, Oct. 11, 2010, 1:49 p.m. - The Boise Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating a three vehicle crash that currently has eastbound lanes of Fairview Ave blocked to traffic.

Boise Police were called by witnesses to the crash on Fairview between Raymond & Liberty at 11:39 a.m. The crash involved the drivers of a Honda Scooter, a pick up truck and a sedan. At this time, it appears the Honda Scooter was headed eastbound when a pick up truck pulled out of a driveway. The Scooter hit the passenger side of the truck throwing the driver from the scooter. The scooter then hit the sedan that had also been traveling eastbound.

The driver of the Scooter, an adult female was transported to a nearby hospital with what appear to be serious but non-life threatening injuries. She was wearing a helmet. No other injuries were reported.

Because the crash remains under investigation, no citations have yet been issued in connection with the collision.

Traffic on eastbound Fairview has been blocked since the collision as BPD Crash Reconstruction experts investigate. Fairview Ave should re-open shortly.
