09-06-10 Officers investigate report of Intruder in west Boise Apartment

Boise, Sept. 6, 2010, 10:20 p.m. - Boise Police are investigating following a report that an unknown man surprised a resident inside a west Boise apartment.

What Happened: Boise Police were called at 9:00 p.m. this evening by a woman who lives in an apartment on the 2900 blk of N. Cole Rd. She tells officers she came out of the bathroom of her apartment and was surprised by a dark-skinned male in her bedroom. The woman says the man threw her toward a wall which knocked her unconscious. She says when she awoke, the man was not there.

Investigating officers say they've found no signs of forced entry into the apartment. The victim's initial report saya nothing appears missing from the apartment but some contents from her purse.

The victim was able to give only a vague description of the reported intruder: dark skinned male, wearing a dark colored shirt, jean shorts and had his face covered.

The victim was transported to the hospital for observation, and has been treated and released.

At this time, investigating officers say this report appears isolated.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
