06-15-10 Woman Arrested for Passing Forged Checks; Overnight Felony Arrests

Boise, June 15, 2010 -

Arrested: Tyan M Hardey, 32, transient

Charges: Forgery (F) 3 cts, Grand Theft (F) 3 cts

    Boise Police have been working with local retailers investigating the passing of counterfeit checks at several local stores beginning last April. Boise Police financial crimes detectives were able to connect the forged and counterfeit checks to the suspect. She was arrested by officers at a Boise bench home Monday morning and booked into the Ada County jail on the above charges.


Arrested: Malori A. Crisp, 21, Boise

Charges: Aggravated Battery (F), Destruction of a telecommunications line (m)

     Boise Police were called to a fight in a home near Maple Grove Rd and Victory Rd Monday approx 5:46 p.m. When officers arrived, they found an adult male with injuries to his arms and upper body. After investigating, officers arrested Crisp. She's accused of beating the male, an acquaintance, with a cane over a dispute, then trying to stop him from calling 9-1-1 during the altercation. The man's injuries did not require immediate medical treatment.


Arrested: Rutger J. (RJ) Verhaegh, 18, Boise

Charge: Aggravated Assault (F)

  Boise Police arrested the suspect, Verhaegh Monday after Ada County Prosecutors issued a warrant for his arrest. The warrant follows an incident that occurred April 3rd when the suspect allegedly tried to run over a female known to the suspect, with a vehicle. The incident occurred at an intersection in east Boise and was called in by citizens who witnessed the incident. The female was not injured.
