06-09-10 Tonight the BPA will be Stocking Fish for Free Fishing Day Event!
Tonight the Boise Police Association will be Stocking Fish for the Free Fishing Day Event this weekend!

Boise, June 9, 2010 -Tonight, the Boise Police Association is stocking hundreds of fish into McDevitt Pond in anticipation of Saturday's Free Fishing day! This is a fun visual opportunity to see the ponds stocked!

Tonight at about 6:00 p.m., approx. 450 fish will be dumped into the pond to increase the odds for Saturday's anglers. The BPA raised enough money that we will be stocking about 400-500 extra large trout in the pond this year. These fish are much larger than fish normally planted in the pond. The fish are purchased by the Boise Police Association with money raised at the BPA annual fishing tournament.

Boise Police volunteers will be working in conjunction with Idaho Fish & Game Officers helping kids and families find the joy of fishing at McDevitt Pond this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
