05-19-10 Vehicle Theft leads to multiple charges; overnight felony arrests
Boise, May 19, 2010 - Boise Police arrested two people last night and charged them with multiple counts related to a vehicle burglary. Detectives are investigating as evidence found also indicates the suspects may have been involved in other recent car burglaries.
Arrested: Tyson J. Anderson, 22, Transient
Charges: Vehicle Burglary (F), Petit Theft (m), Malicious Injury to Property (m)
Arrested: Kelsey A. Tweedt, 18, Boise
Charges: Grand Theft by Possession (F), Petit Theft (m)
Boise Police responded to a citizen's report of a vehicle burglary in the area of S. 2nd St. and W. Front  Street at approx 11:30 p.m. last night, Tuesday, May 18th. The victim told officers that between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. someone had smashed in the front passenger window of her vehicle and stole a purse that was sitting in the front seat. The purse contained several credit cards along with various personal items.
While investigating, another citizen came up to officers and handed them a wallet the citizen reported they had found nearby that may or may not be connected to the crime. Following up, officers found the wallet belonged to Tyson J. Anderson. After further investigation, officers found the stolen purse and it's contents in the car belonging to Anderson's girlfriend, suspect Kelsey Tweedt. Officers later contacted Anderson. Officers believe Anderson is the one who broke into the vehicle and stole the purse that was found in Tweedt's car. Both Anderson and Tweedt were booked into the Ada County Jail on the above charges.
During their investigation, officers found other evidence that may indicate the two suspects have been involved in previous thefts. That investigation is ongoing.
Arrested: Valerie F. Taddicken, 31, Boise
Charge: Burglary (F)
Boise Police were contacted by a retailer in the area of Franklin & Milwaukee at approx 5:22 p.m. yesterday. Witnesses told officers the suspect, Taddicken, had stolen two candy bars from the store. She was found with scissors that officers believe the suspect had brought from home for the purpose of committing the crime.
It's important to note that, according to Idaho law, it's not the value of the items stolen, but the suspect's criminal intent, or the suspects plans to enter the store with the intention of committing the theft that makes the crime a felony.
Arrested: Tina Malleah Adamson, 38, Boise
Arrested: Kent D. Adamson, II, 32, Boise
Charged: Felony Injury to a Child
In early February, Boise Police were alerted to a possible case of child abuse by potential witnesses. After investigating, detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit found evidence both the suspects were responsible for intentionally inflicting potentially serious physical harm to the victim, a child known to both suspects. The injuries to the child reportedly occurred at a Boise home in early February. Detectives turned their investigation over to prosecutors for review. An arrest warrant was issued for the suspects.
Further details are not available from police at this time to protect the victim. Child custody information is also protected under state law.
