Car Into Convenience Store

04-15-10 Car Into Convenience Store

Boise Police responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a convenience store this afternoon at approximately 3:10 p.m. at Overland and Five Mile. Witnesses tell police the MiniVan was being checked by one victim for a possible mechanical problem and he was under the van at the time. Witnesses say the vehicle went into reverse, running over the man who was underneath and crashed into the building. Officers found the vehicle had driven through the front window of the convenience store into the main public area. The adult male victim who was laying under the van and had been run over, was transported to a local hospital with what appeared at the time to be non-life threatening injuries. One additional adult, who was inside the store, received what appeared to be minor injuries and was also transported to a local hospital. The investigation into this collision continues. No citations have been issued at this time.
