Arrested: Rachel L. Derryberry, 19, The Dalles, OR
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth)(F), Possession of drug paraphernalia (m), Resisting & obstructing officers (m)

Boise Police were called by passing motorists to a report of a cyclist laying in the road at Fairview & Curtis about 9:15 p.m. last night. When officers arrived, they found a woman, Derryberry standing on the sidewalk at the intersection next to a bicycle and holding a shoulder bag. Officers requested paramedics take the woman to a nearby hospital to check for any possible injuries. At the hospital, officers began to look inside the bag searching to identify the woman. Inside the bag officers found syringes, pipes, and a plastic baggie with a white substance inside. The substance later tested positive as two grams of meth. As officers began to question the woman about the contents of the bag she walked, then ran out of the hospital. Officers caught up to her in the parking lot, where she continued to struggle in an attempt to run away. After being cleared by medical personnel, Boise Police arrested the woman on the above charges and booked her into the Ada County Jail.
