Vigilant employee nabs alleged shoplifters; Overnight Felony Arrests

Arrested: Timofey F. Khrestsov, 20, Meridian

   Charges:Burglary (F), Petit Theft (m)

Boise Police responded to a report of a theft at a retail store on the 350 block of North Milwaukee yesterday (February 9th) at approximately 3:30 p.m. Store employees tell police they witnessed the suspects, Timofey Khrestsov and a 16 year old juvenile female, conceal a T-shirt and then leave the store without paying for it. A store employee detained the suspects until Boise Police Officers arrived. Officers believe the suspects entered the store with the intent to commit the theft, resulting in the burglary charge. A search of Khrestsov after his arrest revealed additional items stolen from another store resulting in the Petit Theft charge. The juvenile was cited for Burglary and released to a family member. The adult suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.

The Boise Police department has developed a positive, productive working relationship with loss prevention agents from many local retail stores, large and small, local and national chains. The goal of the BPD Organized Retail Crime Unit is to work with retailers to reduce theft and fraud, crimes that can impact consumer prices.
