Search for Burg, Agg Assault Suspects

01-04-10 Search for Burg, Agg Assault Suspects
Boise, Jan 4, 2010 - Boise Police are asking neighbors northwest of Overland and Five Mile if they saw anything suspicious this afternoon. That follows police response to a home burglary that was interrupted by the homeowner, and led to two shots being fired by the suspect in his attempt to get away.
What Happened: Boise Police received a call from a homeowner on Chickadee Dr at 3:07 p.m. this afternoon. The homeowner said he returned home, parked in the garage, walked into his kitchen and found a man standing on the other side of the counter. The burglar had a bag stuffed with items including jewelry and computer equipment taken from the home. The suspect also had, what appeared to the homeowner to be his handgun.
The resident told officers when he confronted the stranger, the suspect raised the weapon and fired two shots. Fortunately neither hit the resident. The gun appeared to jam and the victim says the suspect left the gun and the bag of items behind and ran out the back door. As the victim watched the suspect run off, he saw a second suspect also running through the backyard.
The resident called police, who immediately searched the area, but did not find the suspects. After investigating, it appears the suspects forced open a back window to break into the home.
Suspect Description: light skinned male, mid-20's, wearing a blue hoodie with grey stripes on the sleeves, approx 5'10" - 5'11", thin build, dark pants.
The second suspect was only seen by the victim running away. The victim describes him as wearing  a dark hoodie.
