Felony DUI tops overnight Boise City arrests

01-29-10 Felony DUI tops overnight Boise City arrests

Felony DUI tops overnight Boise City arrests

Arrested: Russell D. Zorn, 47, Boise

    Charges:Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

Boise Police observed a vehicle fail to signal as it made a turn early this morning (January 29th) at approximately 2:00 a.m. Boise Police officers witnessed the vehicle turn from east bound Curtis onto Edson without signaling, then turn south on Sites without signaling. Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and blew a .20/.20 at the Ada County Jail. A check through Ada County records indicated the suspect had 2 prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Amanda D. Papuga, 21, Mooresville NC.

   Warrant Charges:Grand Theft (F)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Grand Theft yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from an ongoing investigation into money obtained through a false money order. Evidence indicates the suspect presented false documentation to receive cash earlier this month at a retail outlet in Boise. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
