Citizen call leads to Felony DUI Arrest!

Arrested: Daniel E. Marmentini, 49, Boise

Charges: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)(F)

Boise Police received a citizen call of a drunk driver last night (December 28th) at approximately 8:30 p.m. With the help of the citizen's information, officers located the suspect in a parking lot on the 1200 block of West Grand Avenue still in the running vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver, who appeared to be  intoxicated at the time, determined he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The man failed several field sobriety tests and was transported to the jail where he blew a .25/.24, more than twice the legal limit to drive. The suspect has prior convictions for DUI making this a Felony DUI charge. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Arrested: Chad D. Buck, 37, Boise

Charges: 2 counts of Malicious Injury to Property(m), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Assault on a Police Officer (m), Resisting and Obstructing (m)

Boise Police received a request for assistance from BSU Security early this morning (December 29th) at approximately 3:00 a.m. When officers arrived on the 1000 block of West Cesar Chavez Lane they found the suspect had broken a window, resulting in the first charge of malicious injury to property. The suspect threatened to shoot the responding officer with what he said was a gun under his shirt, resulting in the assault charge. At one point the man threw a metal coffee cup at a police car causing minor damage, resulting in the second count of malicious injury. The suspect refused to show his hands or respond to the officer's commands to surrender. Eventually officers determined the suspect did not have a gun and he was was taken into custody. During the search of the suspect officers recovered a marijuana pipe. The suspect was booked at the Ada County Jail on the above listed charges.

Warrant Arrested: Kristina M. Menjivar, 21, Boise

Warrant Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth)

The suspect was taken into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance yesterday.

The arrest warrant stems from a call to police asking for assistance in the eviction of a tenant at a hotel on the 900 block of North Milwaukee on May 4th of this year. On that date, officers found 1 gram of Meth and a small amount of marijuana in the apartment. Officers later determined the substance belonged to the suspect. That investigative information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's Office and resulted in the felony warrant.
