    Boise, May 4, 2009 - Vandals Caught after $3,000 to High school, other Boise Police Weekend Arrests


    Arrested: Adam J. Hinshaw, 18, Boise

    Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F), Malicious Injury to property (m)

    Arrested: Couper Haycock, 18, Eagle

    Charges: Malicious Injury to Property (F), Malicious Injury to property (m)

    Boise Police responded to a vandalism report Friday, May 1st, at approximately 3:00 p.m. at Centennial High School. School administrators tell police that the previous evening someone had vandalized locks on approximately 60 outside doors rendering the locks inoperable at a cost of approximately $3,000 dollars to fix and replace. School officials quickly determined that two teens, later identified as Adam Hinshaw and Couper Haycock, were suspects in the vandalism. Boise Police were called and after investigating, officers took the pair into custody on the above charges. Boise Police also received a report of vandalized locks at a religious building located on the corner of the campus resulting in damages estimated at roughly $300 dollars. Officers believe the two teens are responsible for that vandalism as well, resulting in the misdemeanor charges.  Because of the charges, the Meridian School District tells Boise PD they may seek restitution from the courts.


    Arrested: David P. Stockton, 46, Boise

    Charge: Rape (F)

    Boise Police responded to a call from an adult female Friday night, May 1st. She told officers an acquaintance had, against her will, forced her to have sexual relations in a downtown Boise hotel room. Officers investigated and early Saturday morning arrested the suspect Stockton at his south Boise home.


    Arrested: Jon H. Henderson, 30, Boise

    Charges: Injury to a child (F)

    Boise Police were dispatched to a possible injury to a child report on Friday, May 1st, at approximately 9:55 p.m. Witnesses tell Police that on Tuesday April 28th in the afternoon the victim, who is a child under 11 years of age, had an argument with the suspect who is known to the victim. The victim says the man, later identified as Jon Henderson, used a belt to strike the victim leaving bruises. After conducting interviews, Boise Police took the suspect into custody on the Felony Injury to a child charge.


    Arrested: Ross A Martin, 25, Boise

    Charges: Battery on a Police Officer (F), Battery (m), Public Intoxication (m),

    Boise Police were dispatched to a disturbance call at a downtown hotel at 10:25 p.m. on Friday night, May 1st. When officers arrived on scene witnesses said the suspect, later identified as Ross Martin, had entered the hotel and began fighting with hotel staff. The suspect, who appeared to be intoxicated, was asked to leave the hotel. The suspect then head butted the victim and security personnel restrained the suspect. While he was being detained the suspect spit in the face of the security employee. As Boise Police Officers attempted to transport the suspect to a police vehicle the man kicked officers. Officers were not injured. The suspect was transported to the Ada County Jail and booked on the above listed charges.


    Arrested: Mary J. Avalos, 23, Boise

    Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Burglary (F)

    Arrested: Erica Franco, 18, Boise

    Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Burglary (F)

    Boise Police were dispatched to a fight on the 500 block of N. Liberty St. on Sunday, May 3rd, at approximately 9:23 p.m. Witnesses tell police that the two suspects, later identified as Erica Franco and Mary Avalos, entered the victims home on Liberty with the intent to steal. The suspects took a purse and other belongings from the home. As the victims, who are acquainted with the suspects, returned home, the two suspects were leaving in a vehicle and victims say, drove their car directly at the victims who say they were forced to jump out of the way. At one point the suspects again drove back by the residence and past the victims who stood in the driveway. As the suspects went by, victims say they threw a piece of wood at the victims, but missed. A short time later Boise Police located the two suspects at a home on the 3500 block of Chinden in Garden City. They were taken into custody on the above listed charges. 


    Arrested: Jerry L. Bodine, 41, Boise

    Charges: Possession of Meth (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Fugitive to Idaho warrant

    Boise Police observed an SUV fail to come to a stop as it pulled out of a parking lot at Vista and I-84 early this morning, May 4th, at approximately 1:48 a.m. When officers stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, later identified as Jerry Bodine, they determined he had an outstanding Fugitive to Idaho warrant for his arrest out of Washington State. Officers received consent to search the suspects vehicle and located less than a gram of meth and other drug related paraphernalia. The suspect was taken into custody on the above listed charges without incident. Boise Police were informed by police dispatch of the outstanding washington warrant, but not of the original charges.


    Arrested: Christopher M. Bybee, 18, Glenns Ferry

    Charges: Possession of a controlled substance (F), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m), Minor consumption (m)

    Boise Police on patrol in the area of 16th and Main Streets at approximately 10:00 p.m. Saturday night, May 2nd saw an adult male running across 16th Street. To officers, the suspect appeared to then hide on the east side of a bank, and when he saw the police car, ran back to the west corner of Main St. Thinking the man's behavior was odd, officers approached him and he spontaneously dropped to his knees and placed his hands on his head. Officers asked the suspect why he had been running away from them and the man, later identified as Chirstopher Bybee, told police he had warrants out for his arrest. A search for weapons revealed a glass pipe with marijuana residue on it and white prescription pills resulting in the controlled substance and paraphernalia charges. Officers determined the suspect, a teenager, had also been drinking. He was taken into custody on the above charges without incident. Currently the suspect is not facing charges on any outstanding warrant.


    Warrant Arrest: Elizabeth A. Cowlishaw, 27, Boise

    Warrant Charges: Burglary (F), Forgery (F)

    On Saturday, May 2nd at approximately 4:00 a.m. on a traffic stop Idaho State Police arrested Elizabeth Cowlishaw on outstanding warrant charges.

    The warrant charges stem from a burglary that took place on October 24th, 2008 at a business located on the 1700 block of North Hampton Road in Boise. A business told officers someone had entered the office and took several blank checks. The suspect was a former employee at the business. Boise Police detectives gathered evidence in the case and determined the suspect had tried to cash checks at several locations around Boise. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and resulted in the arrest warrant.


    Warrant Arrest: Adam A. Farnsworth, 25, Boise

    Warrant Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Adam Farnsworth was arrested by Boise Police Sunday, May 3rd on the 10,000 block of South Hilton Street in Boise on a warrant charge of Grand Theft.

    The warrant charges stem from an incident that took place on January 16th of this year at approximately 9:30 p.m. at a restaurant on the 7000 block of West State Street. At the time the victim, who was a patron of the restaurant, inadvertently left her purse in a booth and left the restaurant. When the victim remembered her purse approximately 20 minutes later, she returned to the restaurant and found it had been taken. Restaurant managers working with Boise Police, determined that a former employee, later identified as Adam Farnsworth, had taken the purse containing credit cards and other personal items. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and resulted in the arrest warrant.


    Arrested: Uriel Islas-Nolasco, 32, Boise

    Charges: Grand Theft (F)

    Boise Police received a telephone report of a stolen vehicle early this morning, May 4th. The suspect, later identified as Uriel Islas-Nolasco is known to the victim and reportedly took the car without permission. Boise Police located the car in a parking lot at the corner of Five Mile and Fairview Avenue. The suspect was located at his place of employment, a business on the 500 block of North Milwaukee Street. Officers say the suspect has an ongoing dispute with the victim. He was taken into custody on the above listed charges without incident.
