Boise April 24th, 2009 - Aggravated assault charges top overnight arrests in Boise


    Arrested: Ryan B. Droubay, 18, Boise

    Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)

    Cited: Benjamin P. Pitonyak, 19, Boise

    Citation Charges: Illegal consumption of alcohol (m)

    Boise Police officers were dispatched to a fight in progress at a restaurant on the 1100 block of South Broadway early this morning at approximately 3:40 a.m. Witnesses tell officers that the victim was in his vehicle waiting in the drive though as two males on foot stood at the window ordering. Witnesses say that the two men at the window began exchanging insults with the driver of the vehicle. At this point, witnesses say the two suspects began to approach the victim, who had begun to exit his vehicle. Witnesses tell officers that the suspect, later identified as Rayn Droubay, produced a knife and threatened the victim, who called 911. Officers conducted a search of the immediate area and located the two suspects. Police recovered the knife that had been dropped near a fence. Ryan Droubay was arrested for Felony Aggravated Assault. Benjamin was cited for minor consumption of alcohol.


    Arrested: Cody L. Jim, 28, Boise

    Charges: Battery on a Police Officer (F)

    Boise Police were dispatched to a problem intoxicated subject at a group home on the 5000 block of North Mitchell Street early this morning at approximately 2:51 a.m. Witnesses say the suspect had been drinking and attempting to get residents to fight with him. When officers attempted to talk with the suspect, he hurled obscenities and refused to show his hands to Officers. At one point, the suspect struck a Boise Police Officer in the head with his fist and several Officers took him into custody on a Felony Battery on an Officer charge. The information will also be forwarded to Probation and Parole for possible additional charges.


    Arrested: Rachell L. Riley, 21, Unknown

    Charges: Possession of a controlled substance (Meth) (F), Possession of paraphernalia (m) Probation Violation

    Arrested: Tracy L. Tuck, 34, Boise

    Charges: Possession of paraphernalia (m) Probation Violation

    Boise Police working with Idaho Probation and Parole Agents searched a home on the 3300 block of Murano Street yesterday at approximately 2:00 p.m. During the search Officers recovered drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of meth. The two suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Ada County jail. At the jail deputies located another small amount of meth hidden in Riley's clothing.
