Boise April 23rd, 2009 - Assault on an Officer; Urinating in Public; overnight arrests.


    Arrested: Johnathan J. Isaac, 26, Nampa

    Charges: Assault on a Police Officer (m), Resisting and Obstructing Officers (m), Public Intoxication (m)

    Boise Police officers saw a man attempt to enter a concert house on the 400 blk. of So. 9th St. at 10:54 p.m. last night, April 22nd. The man had no shirt on, a visibly bloody nose, and appeared to be very intoxicated. Security guards at the venue refused his entry. Officers and witnesses sat the suspect Isaac then turned to a Boise Police Officer and challenged him to a fight while clenching his fists and moving toward the officer. The Officer didn't take Issac up on his offer and instead took the suspect into custody. While being arrested, the suspect Isaac physically resisted arrest by trying to get his arms away, thrashing his body and kicking at Boise Police Officers. The suspect was booked into jail on the above listed charges.

Idaho State Code 18-901.Assault defined. An assault is:
(a)  An unlawful attempt, coupled with apparent ability, to commit a violent injury on the person of another; or
(b)  An intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.


    Arrested: Jonathan W. Marks, 21, Boise

    Charged: Urinating in Public (m)

    Arrested: Michael B. Swift, 21, Meridian

    Charged: Urinating in Public (m), Resisting and Obstructing Officers (m)

    Boise Police were alerted by citizens on the 600 blk. of W. Main approx. 9:42 p.m. last night, April 22nd, reporting two men urinating on a man sleeping nearby. The two men were detained by bouncers from a nearby bar until officers arrived. Officers talked to the man who had been sleeping. The man said he did not want to pursue charges against the Swift and Marks. Based on citizen complaints, the two were arrested on the above charges. As the officers were arresting the two suspects, Swift began to resist, but was taken into custody without injury. 


    Arrested: Ann M. Young, 30, Boise

    Warrant Charges: Grand Theft by possession

    Ann Young was arrested at a home on the 1700 block of Colorado yesterday at approximately 5:15 p.m. on a felony warrant for grand theft. 

    The warrant stems form a Boise City case of a stolen credit card that was allegedly taken in September of last year. The Credit card was later used to purchase items at various stores in the Boise area. That information was forwarded to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and resulted in the felony charge.
