04-16-09 Motel Robbery - Fairview Ave.

    Boise, April 16, 2007 - Boise Police are looking for the man who robbed a Fairview Ave. hotel early this morning.

    Suspect Description: Witnesses say the suspect is a light skinned male, 5' 7", approx 200 lbs, wearing a black stocking cap, black ski mask and gloves, dark clothing. He carried a black handgun.

    What Happened: Boise Police were called to a hotel on the 1800 blk of Fairview Ave at 2:26 a.m. this morning. Victims and witnesses say a man walked in the lobby and up to employees at the front desk, displayed a handgun and demanded money. He was last seen leaving through the hotel front doors. 

    Officers were on scene in moments, but an immediate search of the area did not turn up the suspect. 

    Pattern? This morning's robbery was the third in the area in the past six weeks. Detectives say the evidence in the cases are similar, but can't confirm it's the same suspect. Another nearby motel was robbed in a similar manner March 13th and April 10th.

    Boise Police are actively investigating these robberies. Anyone with any information on the crime or suspect is urged to call Boise area Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS. Callers can remain anonymous. Callers with information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
