    Charges: Robbery (F)

Boise Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a theatre on the 7700 block of West Overland at approximately 10:15 p.m. last night, Monday, April 6th. Witnesses tell Police that an adult male entered the theater and displayed, in his waistband, what appeared to be a handgun (that later turned out to be a BB-gun) and demanded cash from theatre employees working the counter.     Officers who conducted an immediate search of the building and the surrounding area did not immediately locate the suspect. Since the suspect ran through the audience seating area of the theatre, officers and theatre management temporarily stopped the movie to search for the suspect, but he had left the building.

Witnesses were able to provide officers with identifying information about the suspect.

Following up on that information, Boise Police Officers located the suspect at a residence around midnight at a relatives home in southeast Boise. The BB-gun and cash were recovered by officers. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and booked on the felony charge of robbery.
