03-13-09 Arrest in Robbery

Boise, March 12, 2009 - Boise Police have made one arrest and are searching for a second suspect after a man was robbed in his home early this morning.

Detectives say the victim and suspects are acquainted, and the robbery appears to be part of an ongoing dispute over money.

Arrested: Bryan M. Haskell, 33, Caldwell

Charges: Robbery (F), Grand Theft (F), Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (F)

What Happened: Boise Police were called to a home near Maple Grove Rd. and Pembrook Dr. at 5:52 a.m. this morning for a man reporting he'd been robbed and his car stolen.

When officers arrived, the victim reported that two men, acquaintances, had been let into his home by a roommate. The suspects then entered the victim's bedroom, displayed what the victim believed to be a firearm, stole property from the victim, then drove off in the victim's SUV.

A Boise Police patrol officer in the area heard the call and spotted the stolen vehicle. Officers stopped the SUV and found the suspect, Haskell was the only occupant. Haskell was in possession of an airsoft pistol that looks like a 9mm firearm. Officers also found Haskell was in possession of methamphetamine and packaging materials.

At this time, Boise Police are continuing their investigation, including the investigation into for the second suspect.
