02-11-09 Police Search for Burglary Suspect

    Boise, Feb. 11, 2009 - Boise Police are searching for a home burglary suspect who was inside a home when he was startled by residents yesterday in the area of Kootenai and Vista.

    Suspect Description: light skinned male in his 20's, light brown or blonde hair in a crew cut, described as "clean cut", approx 5' 6", 130 lbs, wearing a white long sleeve sweat shirt and blue jeans.

    Possible Suspect Vehicle: green Jeep Cherokee, or similar vehicle

    What Happened: A woman and two children, ages 11 and 14, arrived at their home on Kootenai, east of Vista Tuesday afternoon. The children went inside to find a man walking out of one of the bedrooms. The witnesses say when they surprised the intruder, he ran out the front door. Witnesses say he ran several blocks west, where he got into a green Jeep Cherokee-type vehicle and drove away.

    Investigating officers found the suspect may have forced entry into the home through a back window, however, the residents say they found nothing disturbed or taken.

Callers with information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
