02-10-09 Arrest on Firearms Charges

    Boise, Feb. 10, 2009 - Boise Police, and officers with the Metro Violent Crimes Task Force arrested a man last night considered armed and dangerous after he disappeared while on felony parole. The man was found with two handguns, one of them loaded.

    Suspect: Jesse Bruce Massey, 26, Boise

    Charges: 2 cts. Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (F), Parole Violation

    What Happened: A no bond warrant was issued for Masseys arrest Feb. 5th. Massey has a violent criminal past and had just absconded from parole.

   Officers with Boise Police Organized Retail Crime Unit, BANDIT, and the Metro Violent Crimes Task Force learned the suspect was in possession of a stolen firearm. Last night, officers learned the suspects whereabouts and tracked him down in a parking lot near Broadway and University. When he was stopped, officers found him in possession of two handguns, one stolen and one loaded.

   Officers say the investigation is continuing and more charges may be filed.
