12-29-08 Grand Theft and Eluding Arrest

Boise December 29th, 2008 - A Boise Police traffic stop has led to the arrest of a Caldwell man on multiple charges.

What happened: Yesterday on December 28th a Boise Police Officer observed a vehicle at Orchard and Chinden traveling without exterior lights. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle using his overhead lights and the driver failed to yield. During a brief pursuit the driver ran two stop signs on Bond street and abandoned the vehicle to flee on foot. The driver, later identified as Anthony Wylie, was located approximately 50 yards from the abandoned vehicle hiding under a trailer. A search of the car revealed a broken glass pipe containing marijuanna residue and a concealed Automatic 45 auto BB gun closely resembling a handgun. The Caldwell man does not have a valid drivers license and the vehicle was determined to be stolen.
