Boise, Oct. 29, 2008, 9:15 a.m. - Boise Police and Fire Investigators are on scene of an arson fire at a North End market. Currently Boise Police Detectives are questioning two juveniles in connection with the fire.

    What Happened:

Boise Police were dispatched to a burglar alarm at the Hollywood Market at 1319 N. 8th St. at 5:04 a.m. this morning. When the first officer got close he saw, then smelled smoke, then saw flames coming from a rear door of the market.

Patrol Officer David Frederick was first on scene. Officer Frederick immediately called dispatch to call out the Boise Fire Department. He then grabbed the fire extinguisher and tried to extinguish the flames. Every Boise Police Patrol Officer carries a fire extinguisher in their patrol vehicle.

Boise Fire crews arrived quickly and were able to contain the fire damage to the rear door. Firefighters say fire, smoke, and water damage is minimal to the interior of the building.

When Police and Fire Arson Investigators arrived on scene they found evidence indicating the fire was deliberate.

Boise Police also found two juveniles walking just two blocks away from the market. Both juveniles are being questioned by detectives at this time.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
