10-21-08 Student Vehicle Safety Checks

Boise October 21st, 2008 - Tomorrow Boise Police Officers will offer students at Timberline High School the opportunity to have their vehicles inspected for at no cost in a fun event to promote safety!

On Wednesday October 22nd School Resource Officers, Boise Motor Officers and mechanics from the City Of Boise will be at Timberline High School from 2:45 PM until 4:00 PM to offer free safety checks on student vehicles. These Vehicle safety checks for student cars will include checking basic safety items such as tire pressure, headlights, taillights, stop lights, turn signals, and other items to help kids get ready for winter driving. This will help to ensure that their vehicles are in good working condition. 

There will be giveaways from the Idaho Transportation Dept. for the students that voluntarily get the safety check done on their vehicle. This will be a voluntary service for informational purposes to the students only. The mechanic and officers will be there to answer any questions that the students may have.

When: Wednesday October 22nd from 2:45-4:00 PM
