10-20-08 Two Attempted Robberies Linked

Boise October 20th, 2008 - Officers responded to the area of Curtis/Overland and Eagleson/Targee on two calls which appear to be related.

The first call happened about 6:50 pm near Curtis/Overland. The victim reported a subject had entered her residence and walked through several rooms before kicking open her locked bedroom door and confronting her. She immediately fled to a neighbors house and called police. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20's. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.

The second incident, near Eagleson /Targee, took place at about 7:05 pm. The suspect entered through an unlocked back door and confronted the two elderly victim's inside. The man made threats that he was going to rob the couple and a struggle ensued between the elderly male and the suspect. The suspect was able to break free and flee the residence as the couple called police. The suspect had a very similar description and officers conducting an immediate search of the area did not locate him.

No one was injured during either incident and at this time it appears the suspect failed to take any items from either residence.

Suspect Description: Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male in his 20's with a moustache. He was seen wearing a black stocking cap, dark green jacket and dirty blue jeans. The suspect may also have hair braids.
