Boise, Oct. 14, 2008 - Boise Police arrested a man for burglary early this morning, after an officer saw him walking carrying a large plastic bag. The bag was found to contain items just stolen from a nearby coffee shop.

Arrested: Kriss K. Williams, III, 27, Boise

    Charge: Burglary (F)

What Happened: Shortly after 2:00 this morning, a Boise Police officer patrolling around the grounds of Capitol High School saw a man carrying a large plastic garbage bag.  It appeared when the man saw the officer's patrol car, he dropped the bag on the grass an continued walking. The officer stopped to talk to the man.

The officer found the suspect, Williams in possession of a hammer and a screw driver. Another officer found a nearby coffee shop had a broken window. After investigating, officers found the suspect had just burglarized the coffee shop. In the bag was a lap top, Red Bull drinks, and a carton of milk.

"This is a good example of an alert, heads up patrol officer. It's truly the kind of policing that our officers do all the time, and in this case, nabbed a burglary suspect," said Sgt. Randy Buzzini of the Boise Police Property Crimes unit.
