09-26-08 Neighborhood Drug House Arrests

Boise, Sept. 26, 2008 - Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officers, working with Boise PD Narcotics Detectives arrested several people Thursday following neighbor complaints of a possible drug house.

Arrested: William A. Toomey, 22, Boise

    Charge: Trafficking Cocaine (F)

Arrested: Robert G. Peace, 27, Boise

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance - cocaine (F)

                Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (m)

Arrested: Brandee L. Briggs, 25, Boise

    Charge: Arrested on unrelated warrants

What Happened: The Boise Police Neighborhood Contact Officer for Southeast Boise, Officer Cameron Becker heard concerns from several neighbors in the Warm Springs Mesa area of possible drug activity at a home on the 2600 blk of Starcrest. A separate investigation by Boise Police Narcotics Detectives also pointed to possible drug activity at the home.

Working together, officers gathered enough evidence to obtain a search warrant for the address. The warrant was served at the home approx. 1:30 Thursday afternoon.

Living at the home, officers found Toomey, who was wanted by Boise Police Narcotics Officers for selling approx. one ounce of cocaine to undercover narcotics agents.

Peace was also found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana paraphernalia.

Briggs was also found to be living in the home and arrested on unrelated outstanding warrants.

Officers say more charges and arrests are likely.
