06-25-08 Convenience Store Robbery

        Boise, June 25, 2008 - Boise Police are investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store early this morning. Witnesses say the suspect threatened the store clerk with a knife.

    What Happened: Officers were called to the convenience store at the corner of Ustick & Maple Grove at approx. 3:00 a.m. Witnesses say a man walked up to the store clerk and threatened the clerk with a knife. The suspect stole what detectives describe as "a small amount" of money, and was last seen running north on foot.

    Suspect Description: Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male, early 20's, 5' 10", 140 lbs. He was wearing dark clothing, including blue jeans, dark shoes, a black t-shirt, and had a dark-colored mask, possibly a piece of clothing tied around his face.

    Detectives are investigating, but at this time have not linked the robbery to any other crime under investigation in the city.

    Surveillance photos exist, but due to the ongoing investigation, are not available for public release at this time.
