05-12-08 Two Arrested After Fight with Bat
    Boise, May 12, 2008 - Boise Police arrested two people after a fight with a bat following an apparent burglary.
   Suspect: Michael E. Torrey, 25, Boise
   Charges: 1 ct. Burglary, 2 cts Aggravated Battery
   Suspect: Darren J. Schwartz, 18, Boise
   Charge: 1 ct. Burglary
   What Happened: Approx 12:30 this afternoon, Boise Police were called to a fight with a weapon in front of a home on the 3900 blk. of S. Maze St. Witnesses tell officers two men entered the home on Maze without the permission of the residents. The residents, two adult males accompanied by another adult male, discovered the two suspects in the home and the fight began when the residents tried to run the two suspects off. During the fight, a baseball bat was used, police believed initially by Torrey. Two of the victims and one suspect were injured with the bat, none seriously.
   The two suspects drove away. The victims were able to give police a description of the suspect vehicle.
   The vehicle was found a short time later. The two suspects were taken in for questioning and later arrested.
   Detectives say there is some relationship between the victims and the suspects, the incident was not random.
