03-16-08 Stabbing at Towne Square Mall

Boise, March 17th, 2008. Officers responded to a call of a stabbing at the Boise Towne Square Mall on 3-16-08 at 5:54 PM. According to witnesses, a verbal altercation between the suspect, victim and several others, happened inside the Mall while the physical portion of the fight occurred just outside the main entrance to the Mall. During the fight, Harley L. Orshal, 18 years old, pulled a knife and stabbed the 20 year old male victim several times in the torso. 

As officers responded, the victim left the scene in a car driven by a friend. They were located near Curtis/Franklin where paramedics responded and transported the victim to the hospital where he is being treated. His wounds are not expected to be life threatening. Orshal was located inside the Mall by officers and he was arrested at the scene. Detectives responded and the investigation in ongoing at this time. Orshal was booked into the Ada County Jail on one count of Aggravated Battery. See the Ada County website for the booking photo of Orshal.
