12-18-07 Armed Robbery - Convenience Store

Boise, Dec. 18, 2007 - Boise Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store on S. Broadway late last night where a man threatened the clerk with a gun to steal a pack of cigarettes.

Officers were called to the 7-11 store on the 100 blk of S. Broadway just before midnight.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white male, about 20 years old, approx. 5' 8", 150 lbs., wearing a black hoodie underneath a black jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

An immediate area search did not turn up the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

As this is the 4th convenience store robbery in a week, officers are asking citizens who stop at these stores during the late night / early morning hours to look inside the stores before getting out of their vehicles and entering. If they see anything that looks suspicious, back out and call 911 immediately.
