11-19-07 UPDATE: Charges in Stabbing

    Boise, November 19, 2007 - According to the Clerk of Court, the Ada County Prosecutor has charged Tyler D. Hanscom, 16 as an adult with Attempted Murder in connection with the attack on his mother last Friday afternoon. Hanscom was also charged as an adult with Aggravated Battery in connection with the injury to a witness prior to police arrival.

    Hanscom is currently being housed in the Ada County Jail on a $1 million bond.

    Boise, Nov. 17, 2007 - Boise Police have charged a 16 year old male in connection with the stabbing of his mother that happened late Friday afternoon at a home on the 500 blk. of S. Curtis Rd.

    The teenager is charged as a juvenile and is currently in the custody of the juvenile justice system. The juvenile's name is not being released at this time.

    The teen is charged with:

  • Attempted Murder
  • Aggravated Battery

    The Aggravated Battery charge is in connection with an injury suffered by a witness who confronted the suspect shortly after the attack and prior to police arrival. The witness was cut on his hand and not seriously hurt.

    Boise Police detectives have recovered multiple weapons at the scene. The investigation continues as to which weapons the suspect used to cause the injuries to the victim.

   The 43 year old female victim remains hospitalized with several injuries to the upper body and head.

    Any further information will be released as it becomes available.

    Boise November 16th, 2007- At approximately 4:12 PM this afternoon Boise Police Officers responded to a stabbing call at a residence on the 500 block of S. Curtis Rd. in Boise. An adult female was transported to the hospital with injuries and a juvenile male is being questioned at this time. The investigation into the incident continues.
