11-05-07 Arrest in Reported Rape, Assault

    Boise, Nov. 5, 2007 -   Boise Police arrested a man last night and charged him with 3 felonies after a woman reported she was raped at his Boise home.

    Arrested: Dennis R. Bonney, 53, Boise

    Charged: Rape, Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping

    Boise Police got the call late Sunday afternoon that a rape had reportedly occurred earlier in the day at a home on the 2300 blk of Yonkers Lane. When officers spoke with the woman, she told them she responded to his newspaper ad for a roommate. She says she met the suspect at a location near her home. He then drove her to his home. The woman tells officers when they arrived at the Yonkers Lane address the suspect would not allow her to leave, threatened her with a knife and raped her. He then drove her back to the location near her home.

    After some investigation, the suspect, Bonney was arrested without incident at his Yonkers Lane address late last night.

    The suspect, Bonney is scheduled for arraignment at the Ada County Courthouse at 1:30 p.m. today.
